Trailing behind only by a handful of seconds, Benjiro eases himself down to lay prone beside her, skin to skin with one arm sliding over her middle as he props on the other to keep his head up. Smiling at the confirmation her words bring, he leans over and kisses at the edge of her jaw in quiet entreaty for one more kiss as they start the process of cooling down from the pleasurable time well spent. He feels tired for it, but so very satisfied.
Speaking with his voice hushed for being so close, he looks to her eyes directly as he answers, “Very. I quite liked the third part.”
"Mmmm..." Sadie blinks lazily as Ben tries to get another kiss out of her, her claws extending and retracting as she kneads the bedding beneath her. The second Ben finishes the kiss she moves to return the favour, he was ever so persuasive afterall, nipping playfully at Ben's bottom lip with a growl before kissing him fully on the lips and enjoying the way she can hear his heartbeat change as she does so.
"The third part?" Sadie's cheeks flush red, "I quite liked that to... Although your expression prior to then was wonderful to see."
Settling in to relax and cuddle, Sadie idly runs her hands along Ben's arms and shoulders to commit the feel of him to memory. Although...
"Ben, I think you've bulked up a little. Your arms feel a bit bigger than they were." Sadie tells him gently. After all, he hadn't actively been trying to build muscle and so this was probably Echo related.
That rhythmic movement of her hands against the bed, altering left and right, strengthens the subtle smile at his lips even as she answers his request. Benjiro leans more though his arm across her as she tilts her head to kiss him, and he finds he has one more shiver left in him as she gives his lower lip the nip with a growl. A chuckle slips before their lips press together, and he closes his eyes as his heart slows briefly in appreciation. Only with Sadie has he been able to enjoy more carnal pleasures, discovering that he does indeed have the capacity he had never sought alone, but moreover, the thrill of eliciting what she desires. Yet, a kiss is so personal and close, it seems the right note to end on as it brings everything back to her.
Parting from the kiss, Benjiro snuggles a little closer to her as he lowers his head to rest above her shoulder and frees that arm beneath to reach up and brush his fingers into her hair. Her comment about his expression makes his own cheeks burn, and bashfully, he laughs a little.
Nothing less than content with his thoughts slowed to a crawl and focused only on them, Benjiro relaxes almost entirely as her hands slide across his skin. His hand at her hair continues to move as he gradually brushes the locks towards order.
Then she shares her observation. Benjiro lifts his head to look directly to her, brows raised and eyes slightly wide with lips half parted. Then his brows furrow and his eyes narrow as his lips draw back and he buries his face against the bed with a huff. An annoyed groan follows as tension seeps back into his muscles.
“I had hoped I was being paranoid...” he replies, muffled.
The goosebump-inducing feeling of Ben combing his fingers through her hair, occasionally brushing against the soft fur of her ears, would have sent her purring if she wasn't already. Ben turning to bury his face in the bedding brings a concerned furrow to Sadie's brow and she rolls over slightly too, positioning herself so that she could rest her forehead against the back of Ben's shoulder. Continuing to run her hands lightly across his back and arms, Sadie presses a kiss to the bare skin of his back.
"It'll be alright, we've already got ideas on the clothes front and at least it hasn't happened all at once like last time."
As he feels her shifting to roll towards him, Benjiro lifts his arm at her middle to open space and raises his other hand to avoid catching his fingers in her hair. The weight of her head at his shoulder stalls the increase of the tone in his muscles, his arm curling in against her back once she settles to hold her close. It is the kiss at his skin and the soothing touch of her hand sliding over his back and arms that prompts that tension to recede.
Benjiro turns his head towards the side where she lies to speak, voice accompanied by a bitter note as he laments the perceived loss of an opportunity, “The rate is much slower, and while that much is in my favor...the timing couldn’t be worse. I was really wanting to ask you tonight...”
At Ben's movement, Sadie shifts from resting her cheek against Ben's back to rest her chin there so that she could look at his face more easily, head tilted slightly as she regards him curiously, her ears following suit.
"What did you want to ask me?" She continues to run her hands over him, "I'm sure you growing again won't change whatever it is you wanted to ask."
While unable to see the precise detail of her face looking to her from the corner of his eye, her ears more than communicate her curiosity in conjunction with her voice.
“I um...” he starts only to sigh at the hesitation with eyes closing briefly. A second breath drawn slowly, Benjiro tries again as a hint of color rises across his cheekbones, “If I’m growing again, I’ll be too heavy soon enough... But I had wanted to ask if you would consider taking the next step with me. Physically. If um...if maybe you would want to have sex together.”
Sadie freezes in complete and utter shock. Ben wanted to have sex with her. She never would have been able to predict that that was what her wanted to ask her, and for him to ask at this particular stage in their relationship too... Awe, and delight, and pride, and love. All the emotions feel like they are about to burst out from Sadie's chest and the only way she can possibly respond is by beaming at Ben.
"Oh Ben... I would love nothing more! Oh my god!" She She squeels happily, hiding her face into his shoulder still beaming away before looking up, smile fading slightly in confusion, "... What do you mean you'll be too heavy?"
His rueful expression lifts as Sadie lights up like sunshine itself. Her beautiful smile, her positive reception to the proposal in so many words, and that cute squeal she tries to cover against him...all of those amount to one wonderful panacea for his worry. It even revives a soft smile at his lips as he gives her a gentle squeeze with his arm.
When she asks for him to explain what seems like an obvious obstacle, he starts to become a little confused himself, “It’s just that I’m heavy for my size as I am now, and if I’m on top of you after that compounds, it might hurt you...”
Now Sadie understands, and she is still amazed at how lucky she is to have Ben as her partner, "Oh Ben, that is really very considerate of you..."
But she is also, maybe, a tiny bit amused that Ben, the smartest person she has ever met, has seemingly missed out on the most simple of solutions. Sadie bites her lip as her ears wiggle. She won't laugh at Ben, this was a serious moment of vulnerability from her boyfriend. And yet...
A giggle slips from Sadie's lips, followed by an inelegant snort as Sadie descends into giggles, face hidden in his shoulder,
"I can go on top!" Her muffled words are just about understandable as she laughs.

With that comprehension comes something he did not expect, and as she breaks into a fit of giggles punctuated by the harsh inhale, Benjiro raises his head trying to look at her better with a blank sort of expression as that redness at his cheeks becomes more pronounced.
Then...she corrects his assumption in words he can barely make out.
Benjiro had never appreciated the simple gesture of a kiss as more than the pressing of faces together at the mouths. Yet, Sadie has shown him over their months as a couple precisely how intricate the intimate touch can truly be. His knowledge of things beyond kissing had been even more barren, so what little he knows of the interpersonal connection born from intercourse is barely more than a vague concept.
He stares as she laughs against his shoulder, then he remembers when she had been on top of him at the junkyard. A handful of seconds pass without breathing as his entire face alights with heat that stretches all the way over his ears and down his neck. Benjiro tucks his head as he shrinks where he lies and pulls a nearby pillow over his head.
Ben hiding his face just renews Sadie's giggles, even as she tugs the pillow, "Oh darling, I'm sorry, I shouldn't laugh. It really is very sweet that you are looking out for me. Please take the pillow off of your face."
One arm over the pillow sufficiently weighs it down enough that the tugs from Sadie are not enough to budge it. Muffled by the same pillow, he answers, “If it’s all the same to you, I think I’ll stay under it until next year.”
He’s simply too embarrassed to look at her, especially while the blush is still burning so hot in his face.
Tugging at the pillow proving unsuccessful, Sadie flops back on top of Ben still giggling,
"I like to think I'm fairly creative but I think even I'd struggle to come up with a way for us to have sex if you trap yourself in pillow prison for a year."
Sadie kisses the back of Ben's neck, further adjusting her position so that she was now lying completely on Ben's back, her legs straddling his sides, as the giggles finally die down.
"Well we can't let that stand," She purrs loudly as she kisses his neck once more, "I will be a far more thorough teacher than those I can assure you."
His muscles jump under his skin at the pleasant kiss to his neck, and it sends a chill along his back under the warmth of her body. Benjiro feels her comforting weight on his back as she fully situates herself there, purr rumbling through the contact, and a second kiss to his neck is met with a shudder in his shoulders.
Slowly, he drags the pillow off from over his head, face still beet red, but his expression less shamed and even a slight smile hiding behind his loosely crossed arms, “...perhaps rehabilitation is preferable to a sentencing for a first time offender.”
Sadie will never get tired of being able to feel the way Ben responses to her touches and she places a third kiss on his nape just because she can and she can feel how much Ben enjoys it which is what makes the act most worthwhile.
"I suppose we could rehabilitate... Though it isn't as embarrassing as my first offence," Sadie blushes deep red at the remembered embarrassment, "Nayreen asked to use a rabbit when we were being intimate, and I just remember feeling horrified and telling her 'Fuck no, I don't want something with such big teeth down there,it might bite me!'. She was talking about the vibrator not the animal... I don't think she stopped laughing about that for a month."
Although the third kiss stirs a less vigorous response from his muscles, it urges him into a slow stretch after as Benjiro settles more comfortably for it. Something about how she kisses his neck sparks his nervous system in the most wonderful way, and it is quite effective in further subduing his lingering embarrassment.
Head turning further to one side as he listens to Sadie share a blunder of her own, Benjiro shows his teeth as he lets out a breathy chuckle. It’s enough to shake Sadie on his back, quiet as it may be. Turning an arm to bring his hand down, he reaches to find her fingers with his to touch lightly, “I had no idea what it was called either until you told me... So that’s a less basic error, but still funny. ...thanks.”
Sadie laughs in tandem with Ben, his laughter shaking her on her back and a sure sign that he is feeling better about the whole situation.
"You're always welcome, Ben, and I am so, so, so excited to share this experience with you," Grasping his hand, Sadie cards her free hand gently through his hair, "I will need to book up a doctor's appointment before we do anything though, I'll need to get my prescription sorted."
Fingers curling with hers, Benjiro feels his cheeks warm slightly for a very different reason than before as she expresses her anticipation. The feeling of her fingers in his hair is leaned into, and he nods once at the mention of the doctor. That much he understands.
“We can wait however long is best. I want it to be a night without any worry,” he replies. After a moment, a thoughtful look crosses his face, “ Two things... One, should I have a screen done? I haven’t been active, but I can’t promise my parents would have told me if I could be a carrier... And two, it might be wise if I track my changes. Maybe measure my height and my arms. That way, I can anticipate if my strength is increasing as well.” And thus protect Sadie by training as he grows.

Sadie nods, her chin nudging against Ben's back as she does so, "That's a good idea, I can go with you if you want, I haven't been checked since just before Nayreen and I broke up so I should probably get myself checked out too. And I'll be more than happy to help you track your changes if that's what you want to do. How often do you want to check?" She asks, pulling up her mental calendar to start fitting it in around all the other commitments they both have.
"Any nights with you are nights without worry, it's why I sleep so peacefully. I almost never dream about the memory I got with my claws any more."
Names of side characters can be hard to retain (especially the less important ones)
“I’d prefer to go with you,” he readily admits with a little squeeze to her hand considering the visit would be entirely out of his realm of experience, and that Sadie would like to have a screen anyway.
In regards to monitoring the effects of his recent Echoes, he shifts in a slight roll towards one side to position where he can see Sadie over his shoulder, “If you wouldn’t mind, it would be easier with your assistance. Maybe once a week? It might be more often than necessary given how long this much has taken, but having a regular data point collection would be a comfort.”
Then, Sadie expresses her confidence in him, and a slow smile draws over his lips as he feels humbled by her words. She feels safe with him. “大事にしたい...” he says softly, then speaks on, “You should be able to sleep peacefully. And I certainly sleep more when you’re beside me.” He has quite a habit of losing sleep in favor of thinking.
"Then we'll go together," She reassures him, shifting as Ben moves so as not to topple off of his back, "Once a week should work well, we can do it at mine if you'd like? Now Mum and Dad know it'll raise less questions and once Mum notices that you're growing, she'll probably want to keep an eye on your joints."
Sadie snorts into his shoulder, "Well I'm glad that that's become an unexpected benefit of us sharing a bed. You know I thought you were some sort of insomniac when we first met because of how tired you always looked right?"
