I’ll cut some apple slices downstairs while I get us some drinks and he can share with us.” He leans down to give her a kiss on the cheek before he moves for the door, “Thank you, Sadie!”
Out he goes, hurrying downstairs to collect some fresh drinks and the apple slices. Barely a couple minutes later, he returns and makes space on his bedside table for the two glasses and a bowl.
