History:
In the year 2105, New York stands out as a center of culture and technology on a planet that has forged many alliances with its galactic neighbors thanks to the efforts of Earth President Bishop. While Bishop had once feared and hated aliens, his tactics shifted to promote a friendlier relationship with other worlds as his own tolerance grew.
Cody Jones, the great grandson of Casey Jones and April O’Neil, is the heir of the technology leader and manufacturer O’Neil Tech and all its fortune. Too young to act as the company’s CEO, his uncle stepped in to run it and act as his guardian after his parents had passed away. Darius Dunn, a large man driven by greed, never allowed Cody to leave the penthouse under the claims that he would be a perfect target for ransom. Even so, that quarantine of the boy did not stop the young genius from creating a time window to view the past as a way to glimpse at the heroes his great grandparents had written about in their shared journal: the teenage mutant ninja turtles.
However, the time window did not act as intended. Instead of simply allowing him to scan back in time and watch history as though watching a movie, it malfunctioned and hurtled the four teenage mutant ninja turtles and their sensei forward from the early 2000’s to the year 2105. Cody quickly retrieved and bonded with the four teenagers and their father, and provided them space in his home to stay while attempting to repair the damaged time machine. Although unintended, this bonding brought a new level of security to O’Neil Tech no one could have anticipated.

Already in that time, the alien dread lord Sh’Okanabo was intent on stealing the secrets of the company. Described as an ‘alien boogieman’, the hostile alien had landed onto the Earth many years before and had been guarding his gene seeds. From deep within the Chelsea Chasm, the nightmare from the stars sought the continuation of his race through the takeover of Earth. Earth would become another host planet for the Kanabo upon the ‘Day of Awakening’. Or at least, it would have if his plans had not been thwarted. The cause of these failures seemed to always be the same; the teenage mutant ninja turtles.

Believing that the turtles somehow knew of the ‘Day of Awakening’, the dread lord went after the turtles himself with the intention of disposing of them. He might have succeeded had it not been for the timely arrival of the Peacekeepers (the police of the era). His attack on them was not in vain however, as he managed to steal genetic tissue samples during the battle from each of the four turtles. Using his own advanced cloning technology, Sh’Okanabo created the four Dark Turtles with the intentions of using his enemies’ strengths against them. They were created with psychic implants that gave them the memories of their originals, and were altered physically and mentally for the task.

As part of an exchange, the Dark Turtles were offered to Darius Dunn in a trial with their originals. If he was pleased with the results, the exchange would be made for a favor from Darius at a later time.

Taking the time to set the warehouse for the arrival of the turtles, laying a trap that would give them the edge to ensure success, Dark Donatello had waited with his brothers until the appointed time of arrival. The clones did as expected, knocking out each turtle in turn and stripping them of their communicator gauntlets to prevent tracking. After believing themselves to be successful, the clones took the turtles back to their warped replication of the old lair (the second home of the original turtles) and chained them to the wall as they tried to decide what to do with the four turtles. As long as the originals never saw the light of day again, the clones were free to select their fates. None of them were in a hurry to make a choice.

Retiring to their separate rooms, the dark turtles were caught off guard by Cody Jones infiltrating their lair and freeing their originals. Another fight ensued, but the dark turtles found themselves facing their first defeat. Backed together with Dark Leonardo lying unconscious beside him, Dark Donatello implemented his failsafe plan and threw a bomb upwards to bring the ceiling crashing down. Effectively separating himself and his brothers from the turtles, Dark Donatello picked up Dark Leonardo and retreated with Dark Raphael and Dark Michelangelo.

Despite their failure, the transaction took place. Sh’Okanabo turned the four dark turtle clones over to Darius Dunn. Dunn saw the potential they held and wished to harness it. In the exchange, the clones were programmed with a hypnotic control that would prevent them from being capable of harming Darius Dunn.

Called upon a second time, the dark turtles waited for the teenage mutant ninja turtles to arrive at O’Neil Tech and sprang upon them after Darius Dunn separated them from Cody. Still fighting under the directive to kill their originals, the turtles managed to take them down, one by one. Dark Donatello in particular had been absorbed in fighting with Leonardo only to receive a strong electrical shock from Michelangelo.

Waking following the shock, the dark turtles slipped away before they could be arrested. They found Darius Dunn dangling from a Maglev track, and hauled him and his exosuit into hiding where he would create a ship for the dark turtles to use to match their originals in mobility.

Soon enough, Darius Dunn sent the dark turtles back after their intended targets for revenge after Darius was outed as a villain. Dark Leonardo had devised a plan of his own that depended on the ability of each of the clones to perform their intended parts without deviation. Dark Donatello for himself had done as instructed, taking aim at Cody Jones with the energy weapon set to an appropriate setting of damage ahead of time. Dark Leonardo leapt into the path of the laser, and Dark Donatello turned it off only after he had done sufficient damage to put his brother’s life into true and immediate danger. Piloting the ship the clones used, he picked up Dark Raphael and Dark Michelangelo to make the retreat so that the plan could go into action.

Weeks later, Dark Leonardo contacted them to initiate the second stage of their involvement. Waiting for his signal, the three clones entered the top level of the penthouse using their ship and hurried towards the doors, expecting all of the residents to be asleep. Unfortunately, the original Leonardo had executed his test with his brothers and the other residents informed of the plan. Meeting with resistance, the dark turtles fought until Dark Leonardo joined them, at which point their fearless leader called the plan a bust and told them to retreat. Running to their ship, the dark turtles took off and fled back to the warehouse they had moved to stay while still controlled by Darius Dunn.

Despite the failed mission and ire of their master, Dark Donatello found himself shocked when Dark Leonardo divided the raw steak for all four of the brothers to eat an equal share of an already meager portion. The new behavior of sharing was not unwelcome, but puzzling. He intended to watch his brother to find out if anything else had changed in the time their leader spent with the original turtles.

Before more attempts could be made to take the lives of their originals, they left 2105 to return to their own time. With no further use for the clones, Darius killed them using his exosuit.



REINCARNATION
Name: Benjiro Thorne
Age: 17
Appearance: A teenager of 5’9”, Benjiro dresses conservatively while in public but has a flare for green and purple comfort clothing while streaming on the internet. His black hair is parted from the right side of his head over the top to the left with the sides at his ears and below trimmed close. His dark brown eyes have a distinct slant due to his Japanese heritage, and a thicker jawline from the other half of his ancestory in Europe. His skin is pale by nature, and this is worsened by his limited ventures into sunlight.
History:
Born as the first child of an interracial couple, Benjiro began his life in London like any typical boy. He was shy but very intelligent. Despite some bullying, he got on well enough with his classmates. Following the birth of their second child, a daughter by the name of Emiko, the family moved to the United States when Ben was only six so that his father could continue building his career. There, he began making friends. Again uprooting, the family moved to Japan when Ben was eleven, which brought his mother back home while his father transferred positions within the same company. His father worked long hours, and his mother worked part time to assist with the bills once his sister was in elementary school and Ben could look after her. While Ben dabbled in construction of electronics and gadgets, he spent most of his time on his studies, playing video games, or looking after his little sister. At sixteen, Ben was encouraged to transition back to the UK in order to increase his potential for entry into the Imperial College of London. Reluctant though he felt to leave his family, he travelled back to the UK to stay with his great Aunt Agatha and her partner Rosemary in Mossgate. Once there, he enrolled in 6th form college to build credits, adjust to Western culture again, and decide on his future career path.

While awaiting entry into the 6th form college, Benjiro spent a great deal of time building himself a new computer and playing video games. His rapidly improving skill was noticed, and with several online friends encouraging him, he began to stream his video game play. First person shooters were his initial staple, but he began to branch out with suggestions from a growing fan base. Now, just having turned 17, Benjiro is split between his studies and his streaming career.

First Echo:
In celebration of his acceptance into the sixth form college, his great aunts took him to the harbor. As a surprise, they paid for him to take a tour under the water away from the cliffs with a small start-up business near the pier. Benjiro had never been scuba diving before, but already comfortable with swimming, he eagerly agreed. While most of the time exploring was brilliant, he came up too fast when he noticed something wrong with another tourist in the group and ascended too far, too fast to lend a hand. Feeling unwell back on shore, his aunts took him to the hospital, and Ben was placed in a hyperbaric chamber to correct the imbalance of gas in his blood. Laying in the tube as fhe pressure built around him, Benjiro felt a hard thrum from his heart and a slip inside himself. The tech running the machine reassured him until he was able to stall the near panic it summoned, and Ben relaxed as best he could through the course of the treatment. Being reminiscent of the tube in which Dark Donatello was created, it had triggered his first echo. Day by day after, his reflexes grew faster and faster, improving his ability to dodge from bullies and greatly improving his video game skills.

PERSONALITY
Pre-Incarnation Personality:
Secondary to being cloned both physically and psychically, albeit with a manufactured twist to make him a capable assasin, Dark Donatello has many similarities to the original Donatello.

Dark Donatello is a genius and driven inventor, constructing items needed by the four clones to address their mission when able to obtain the necessary resources. Working from memories of his original regarding an invention he would design later in life (time travel shenannigans) and his own understanding of the technology available in 2105, Dark Donatello constructed a flying vehicle for assaults. (Note: This is inferred based on numerous indications without being explicitly explained). Limited from resources by his master, he was unable to further develop technology of his own, but had full understanding of the technology around him. This comprehension was trusted to the point that the team leader used him to make a calculated attack that would only nearly kill him as part of a strategy to infiltrate their enemies.

Set to compete with his cloned brothers for food while their master withheld all but the bare minimum from them, Dark Donatello initially fought like the rest to snatch what he could for himself. However, despite having claws and numerous spikes, he chose to use his tail for blunt attacks, limiting the potential damage he could cause to them while others showed less self-control. Once their leader altered the dynamic to sharing resources, the fighting over sustenance ceased without disagreement from him. Beyond this, Dark Donatello tended to his fallen leader after the loss of their first fight. He had been prepared with an escape plan, and was the one to carry put his leader while the other two were eager to leave without hinderance. These behaviors likely stem from the gentle caretaker personality of his original. Donatello would prefer not to fight, and when he must, uses a blunt attack to limit the damage he inflicts. Outside of battle, Donatello is the one that looks after the wellbeing of his brothers on a more emotional level - and is always prepared. Similarly, Dark Donatello plans for possibilities and makes sure he has the tools necessary to deal with them. Even in preparation for his first showdown with the originals, he studied Donatello in depth to learn how he telegraphs his movements in a fight by delving into the memories implanted in his head, and prepared an escape from their lair despite their initial victory.
Much like his original, Dark Donatello tends to avoid drawing attention to himself socially and would rather observe. His speech carries no hesitation when he does interject, but he maintains a distance and body language the others do not when dealing with their master.

Created for the purpose of killing the one he was made from and designed to be kept under hypnotic control by his master, Dark Donatello was changed mentally to accommodate this change in dynamics. While his leader Dark Leonardo was specifically stated to have had his value for honor taken away, changes in the other three dark turtles are not explicitly stated. Dark Raphael had an obvious decrease in intellect, while Dark Michelangelo had a constant cackle that may allude to him bordering on insanity. Dark Donatello in turn had his ability to empathize dampened. As this conflicts with his driving need to take care of his brothers, it leaves Dark Donatello with some mental instability.

For their lot, Dark Donatello harbors the same anger as two of his brothers, while the third is too loopy to care. He despises his master and the treatment they are given. This anger helps fuel his fighting in subsequent encounters with the original turtles, and only feeds the violent tendencies implanted in him to make him a cold-blooded killer.

Any differences?:
Unlike his previous self, Benjiro has had a chance to grow up and learn how to empathize. While able to logically reason for himself why and how to act, it was Emiko that helped develop his interpersonal skills the most. He developed a close attachment to his sister and found delight in her admiration as she grew older. In little time, his delay behind other children vanished and it became second nature to Benjiro to anticipate emotions and needs in others.

Having lived a quiet, normal life, Benjiro harbors no anger. Dark Donatello resented his existence like his brothers, and never had a purpose beyond causing the death of one of four brothers. Even with success, he would not have been free or gained anything more than satisfaction he was indeed the better version of the genius turtle.

Although a more recent development, Ben has grown to value impersonal attention from his fans as a game streamer. While he remains reserved or even shy socially in person until he grows close to someone, he has learned how to act for an audience. Dark Donatello was unable to develop social skills and had no motivation to draw attention to himself when it would have been counter-productive to his purpose as an assasin.

Abilities:
❖ Prehensile tail: Likely stemming from his original’s damaged mutant DNA (caused by a secondary mutation that was reversed). He uses it to fight and grab in place of his clawed hands frequently.
❖ Darkvision: The alien DNA spliced into him allows Dark Donatello to see in dim lighting clearly, and complete darkness as if it were dim light. His eyes also glow red at times, both volitionally and instinctively. (Of note, this was not explicitly stated, but the clones were good about moving in total darkness while the originals were not; and the glowing at the eyes was canon)
❖ Enhanced size and strength: Close to seven feet in height with a broad torso. Strength shown to be enough to lift his blue brother with ease to carry, lash with his tail and knock his original out with one hit while laying down, and smash his claws through a metal object. He is weaker than the blue one, who can press up enough to break apart a metal hydraulic machine designed to test his strength. Roughly estimate he could pick up a car with significant effort.
❖ Enhanced speed, and jumping capability: His original can scale a 6 story building using the fire escape within a few seconds, or leap between rooftops with ease to travel around a modern New York City. Estimated maximum sprint of 30 to 35 mph.
❖ Natural armor and enhanced durability: The presence of his shell and scales lends to ehanced durability. The shell can deflect arrows and standard blades, but his skin is not tough enough to stop these from piercing, merely to dampen the force. His original was able to withstand most blunt trauma with only bruising, and it took a mechanized suit to break his arm.
❖ Enhanced healing: The original Donatello and his brothers recovered from broken bones in a couple to a few weeks rather than months. Dark Donatello was never shown to be injured, but the fact his DNA is nearly identical to Donatello means he should have similar healing capabilities.
❖ Genius intellect: Dark Donatello shows comfort with both terran (Earth/human) technology and alien technology present in 2105. His original was a fervent inventor, capable of making a drilling machine that could withstand and maneuver in magma for over a minute from junkyard supplies, and much more. He also has a clear grasp of linguistics, being able to read Italian and decipher alien script (with some errors early on).
❖ Heightened reflexes: A mixture of his original being trained and being a mutant, Dark Donatello can react faster than humans to any threat he becomes aware of in time.
❖ Ninjutsu skills (fighting, internal breathing, and stealth): Imparted to him from his original, Dark Donatello knows fighting with most martial weapons, hand to hand combat, and an internal breathing technique that can allow him to go without external oxygen for several minute if he can be immobile and calm. The knowledge he has was not always implemented cleanly, and he was not as skillful as his original due to lack of practice that would have allowed him to adapt to his varied structure. Additionally, skills in moving unseen and unheard were successfully imparted on the Dark Turtles. They snuck up on the originals multiple times.
❖ First Aid skills and knowledge of biology and physiology (including an indepth grasp of genetic manipulation through a viral means): His original often performed first aid for his brothers and spent time researching genetics.
❖ Enhanced thermoregulation/homeostasis (for a reptile): While still cold blooded by definition, in extreme heat, mechanisms to maintain homeostasis kick in as seen when the original Donatello was profusely sweating in the episode ‘Return to the Underground’ when exposed to baking levels of heat. The turtles also tolerate winter conditions far better than a normal reptile as seen in ‘Tales of Leo’ and ‘Monster Hunter’ in which they complain of cold, but can still function (including running as necessary). Additionally, it is likely that Dark Donatello had improved metabolism that allowed him to function without eating for a day or two at a time on a diet of raw and cooked meats.
❖ Gauntlets and armored plating: He wears a metal neck guard and gauntlets to protect his body where it is weakest and takes the most force respectively. The gauntlets have two buttons each, which can be remotely linked to devices to trigger a switch on/off.
❖ Atmospheric regulator: A standard piece of wear in 2105, the plates attached at his plastron provides control of the gas he breathes and how much gravity affects his body due to pockets of varied atmopshere and gravity in the futuristic New York meant to accommodate alien citizens.

My observation of O’Neil Tech is complete. As I anticipated, new combinations of keycodes, identification algorithms, and other security measures were implemented following the transition from Dunn’s control of the company at all points of entry, including delivery ports. The space phasing generator has been shut down with the secondary frequency vibration no longer detectable.

With consideration given to the firewalls and isolated network of the tower, it is unlikely entry through typical means of hacking would garner any success. Physical entry could be forced with strategic application of explosives at a delivery port, however, the time necessary to travel to a level with any desirable research or storage would require 64.3% of the estimated response time of the Peacekeepers in an ideal scenario.

On the whole, trying to access O’Neil Tech would be a colossal waste of time.

I could build better tech if Dunn would give me the materials and tools, but since we know that won’t happen, I will begin research into O’Neil Tech’s competitors that have branches located here in New York.
